The design of the Ducati 916 must have been inspired by the NR750. Mitsuyoshi Kohama designed the NR 750 and the only time I've seen the NR live was at my dealer in Holland where I used to get my bike serviced. Actually suprisingly bulky compared to modern bikes, but there's real beauty in the attention to details, like all great japanese designs. Just look at the Carbon fibre air-intakes morphing into the tank..
