These brass lamps by Tom Dixon, are among my favorite objects. Isn't there some spiritual connection between the hand-beaten matt black brass pendants and his well-worn California?

This man is partly to blame for me riding a Guzzi. 19 years ago I went to visit him for a job. We ended up speaking mostly about motorbikes. He though the actual photography in my portfolio was better than the furniture I had made (& photographed).
I went to see him again last year - this time me riding a Guzzi (that I've now had for 18 years), to propose a flat track race at his new office.

Thats a great story! I really want a Guzzi as well. Almost bought a LM II two years ago. Still regret it.
