Nisse Hedlund

Found this great looking Hedlund bike in the Autoseum. Nisse Hedlund was one of the key persons behind the successful Swedish motorcrossers from the 50's and 60's. Rumour has it Yamaha was 'inspired' by his design for a 1000cm V-twin, when they designed their v-twin which would power the TR-1 and Virago's.

Read an article about ISR bikes recently. They're mostly known for their brakes but they used to produce full chassis kits tailored for different engines. I'm a sucker for 80's endurance bikes and this one is pretty nice. The other bike is a Hedlund-engined, all-swedish bike. Pretty rough I have too say but what if the bodywork and details were refined? Could have been something.
