The Husqvarna Baja "Concept" presented at EICMA. Think it's lost some of the character from the first Baja concept, but who cares; I want one!

The The Husqvarna concept 'Proof 2000' was shown at the Milan motorcycle fair in 1985. The 800cc twin cylinder engine was part-developed by Swedish engineering company Folan.

I wish they'd been a bit bolder, and that exhaust is not really worthy a scrambler if you ask me.

In light of the launch of the new Husqvarna "Moab" concept I think this a nice reference. Here's Basse Hveem, standing outside 'Basse Hveem and Grorud' in Oslo in 1959, demonstrating just how light the new 'Silverpilen' is.

Larven

I'm hung up on snowmobiles. Blame the unusually cold and snowy winter. This is the Swedish 'Larven' (catepillar) produced from the 60's to the 80's. You had to use skis when you rode it and it was powered by a Husqvarna engine. Perfectly matched to the PV as well.

Bosse Granath is a well known Swedish racer. He went GP racing with this factory-backed, two cylinder Husqvarna in the 70's.

The new ‘Qvarna concept launched at Eicma. Reminds me of the Sachs Madass and den djevelske Diavel, but isn’t there a hint of the pre-war Husky V-twins in the concept as well?
