Borrowed this book from the office over the weekend. From the Guggenheim exhibition of the same name some years ago. Features articles by Hunter S. Thompson and Dennis Hopper, story of the Bosozuko bikers, the usual suspects (MV Augustas, Triumphs and so on) and some duds (BMW R1200C?). Favorite bike: The 1914 Cyclone.

After reading Stealing Speed, where Ernst Degner defected from GDR to Germany after the Swedish Grand Prix, I had to go and search for the remains of the legendary track. Located north of Kristianstad, South-East coast of Sweden, it used ordinary roads and was in use between 1952 and 1961. Moss, Fangio, Hailwood and Surtees all raced here in cars and on motorcyles. Not much left today, though. Whats left is a sign by the road and a gravel road called "Grand Prix Vägen (Road)".
