Starck

Some better images of the Starck / Boxer Design W800. It's a decent looking bike but I'm not crazy about the paint job and especially not the graphics. Via.

Kawa + Boxer + Starck

/ Wednesday, July 20, 2011 /
I bought this magazine on vacation, I'd finished my books and was desperate to read something else than interior porn and Swedish crime novels. Do not understand much French, but I could understand that this W800 was modified for Philippe Starck by Boxer Design (I think..) Hints of the Aprilia 6.5 in the paintjob and with the trademark Starck + sign. Back in the late 90's there was a rumor that Starck had a motorcycle ready in several locations around the world, all acessible with the same key, ready to roll out when he arrived. True?

Dainese + Starck

Why do 95% of all motorcycle gear look like shit? I want something that's clean and simple. Basically comes down to a few models from Dainese or Alpinestars. Makes me think of Philippe Starck. When I saw him at Maison & Object a couple of years ago he was wearing his tradmark Dainese jacket.

Starck V-Twin

/ Monday, April 19, 2010 /

Philippe Starck. The Moto 6.5 was not a very sucessful design, even though I've seen it several design collections around the world. Its just not street smart. It was designed for an utopian world. A world without oil, petrol, dirty hands, leather and scruffy jeans. This concept based on the Aprilia/Rotax v-twin looks slightly better. Would still take a Tuono any day over this though...
